More than likely there would be an endless number of kids, teenagers, adults, and elderly people that would have never picked up the harmful and addictive habit of smoking cigarettes if they had known beforehand of the harmful chemicals that are included in cigarettes. As many as 599 additives are added to the cigarettes that individuals smoke on a daily basis, many of which are extremely poisonous and should never be put into the body. One of these harmful chemicals is known as hydrogen cyanide. The common use for this chemical is that it is used during the manufacturing process of various materials such as pesticides, plastics, fibers, and plastics. During World War I, this dangerous chemical was used under the name of Zyklon B, as a genocidal agent. It is common sense that not a single person would purposefully ingest hydrogen cyanide unless they were making an attempt to take their own life. This is exactly what is happening when individuals smoke cigarettes, only it is happening in a much slower fashion. Surprisingly, this dangerous chemical and a variety of others are added to the tobacco in cigarettes under the approval of the United States Government.
